G20 Summit Set to Take Place at Pune University Campus

 Pune, December 28th, 2022: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has been selected as the host for one of the most significant international events of the year - the G20 Summit. This is a monumental honor for India and the university, as the G20 brings together leaders from the world's top economies to discuss pressing global issues.

"G20 Summit Set to Take Place at Pune University Campus"

The Vice-Chancellor of SPPU, Dr. Karbhari Kale, announced the news during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on December 28th. The AGM was attended by the newly elected members, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjiv Sonwane, and Registrar Dr. Prafull Pawar.

Dr. Kale stated that several meetings of the G20 Council will take place across India, and some of them will be held on the SPPU campus. To prepare for this momentous event, a special lecture on the G20 will be organized for the university's 8 lakh students in January. The university has also been in talks with the G20 congregations in central committees for the past few days to make the necessary arrangements.

The Vice-Chancellor also highlighted some of the university's other recent achievements, including signing MoUs with renowned American universities and educational institutions to provide new courses and opportunities for foreign education and research. The university also participated in the program of the Tribal Tribes Commission held at the national level and has been implementing the National Education Policy 2020.

Dr. Sanjeev Sonawane presented the audit report and Dr. Prafull Pawar thanked the attendees for their presence. This G20 Summit at Pune University campus is not just an honor but also a great opportunity for the students, faculty and the entire community of the university to showcase their knowledge and skills to the world.
